What is a Digital Wallet?
A digital wallet is an app that securely stores your payment information to make in-store, online or in-app purchases through the use of a smartphone or other mobile device. When making in-store purchases, the digital wallet uses near-field communications technology to securely transmit unique payment information to a merchant’s card reader for a contactless payment.
How to Get Started:
Apple Pay
- Go to the Wallet app and tap the add button.
- Follow the steps to add your Carolina Bank debit card. (*If your Carolina Bank debit card is already set up with Apple ID, you will be prompted to enter the security code on the back of the card.)
- We will verify your information and decide if you can use your card with Apple Pay.
- If additional information is needed to verify your card you will be asked to provide it.
- Once verification is completed, you may start using Apple Pay.
Google Pay
- Open the Google Pay app on your Android device and follow the setup instructions.
- When you’re asked to, add a card.
- Enter in your information and follow the on-screen prompts
- We will verify your information and decide if you can use your card with Google Pay.
- If additional information is needed to verify your card you will be asked to provide it.
- Once verification is completed, you may start using Google Pay.
Samsung Pay
- Open the Samsung Pay app on your Android device.
- Sign in to your Samsung account.
- Follow the steps to add your Carolina Bank debit card.
- We will verify your information and decide if you can use your card with Samsung Pay.
- If additional information is needed to verify your card you will be asked to provide it.
- Once verification is completed, you may start using Samsung Pay.
